pics from our sunshine road trip...

here are the pics from out road trip a few weekends ago...our first stop was the ranch. it was calving season, so there were lots of baby's around. brian has yet to see a mama cow give birth, every year he is hoping to see a birth. i think it was too sunny for the mama cows to do anything strenuous...they were just being lazy enjoying the sun like we were! :)

evie petting her first calf...this calf was tiny...just 55lbs. there was another calf born the night we got there and it was 95lbs which is more of an average weight.
the tiny baby calf..
evie had so much fun at the ranch! she was just a little rascal...playing in the rocks and climbing on everything.
keeping the sun our of her eyes with dad's hat...
playing on grandpa's trailer...

i love this time of year when everything is super green.
miss evelyn loved playing with allie in the wet grass...
oh look a flower, i think i will eat it (which is what she did next!)
dad and brian working on a project...they built gale some new raised garden boxes.
evie loved grandpa's tractor...
but i would have to say the mule is her favorite...
eating lunch in the sunshine....

dad feeding the mama cows...
we then ventured north to brian's parents house...they were in arizona for the week, so we just enjoyed there back deck with out them. :)

eating breakfast...this is her normal look after she eats these days! we know that she is done when she smears her food in her eyebrows and hair. :)
since we had yet another gorgeous sunny day, we decided to float the river and do a little fishing. we didn't catch anything, but the boat ride was great!

we are playing catch up like crazy after being gone so much this month, so stay tuned as there is lots more pictures, videos and updates to come!
