we love pumpkins!

last friday we ventured out for our annual pumpkin patch trip with the cousins and grandma. this is our third year and it has been fun to visit a new pumpkin patch every year. this year we went to airlie hills farm in monmouth and lots of fun was had by all!!!

what a great blustery fall day we had! i love fall and i really love orange pumpkins! i can't wait for our next trip to the patch!

my lovebirds...

boy have we been busy! but its been a really good busy, just enjoying some great times with my little ladies and hubby! one of these days i might have more then a few minutes, so i can give you more details of miss amelia. but for now you will just have to enjoy some cute pics of my girls!

quick update:

amelia had her two week appointment on monday and she is weighing in just under 10lbs!!! i was shocked, but then again when you start out at 8lbs 6oz and basically just eat and sleep i shouldn't have been surprised. :)

height=20 3/4 inches (90th%)

weight=9lbs 4oz (60th%)

head=14 3/4 inches (80th%)

amelia still continues to be a super good sleeper and loves to cuddle. evelyn has adjusted really well to having a baby sister, in fact everyday she surprises me with something sweet she does or says. the other day at play group she waited for all the kids to be quiet and then she made an "announcement" that she had a baby sister and she is tiny! it is really sweet to see how proud she is of her baby sister, i think amelia is a lucky girl to have such an awesome big sister!

its pumpkin patch time!

i love this time of year when we can visit all the pumpkin patches. we have a lot of them close to our house, so its easy to visit a few every fall. on monday night one of the pumpkin patches in corvallis was having a harvest party. it was a pretty stormy day, so i wasn't sure if we were going to make it, but the weather held out and the girls had a great time!

evelyn's best friend...she tells me her dad is her best friend at least a dozen times a day! :)

what a great evening we had eating warm cinnamon and sugar doughnuts while riding on the fastest tractor ride ever :), drinking hot apple cider and enjoying lots of other yummy fall food and festivities! i hope you all make it out for some pumpkin patch fun this month!

our first week...

what a great first week we had as a family of four! miss amelia is such a little cuddle bug who loves to eat and sleep. i have been having to wake her at night to feed, sometimes i think she might sleep through the whole night if i didn't wake her. evelyn has been the best big sister, always worried about amelia. she makes sure she always has a toy, burp cloth, blanket and what ever else she thinks she need. :)

evelyn is loving having a baby sister! when we arrived home from the hospital last week she was really upset that she didn't have owl pajamas like baby sister. she loves to match with her and always makes sure i pack extra clothes for sister just in case she spits up. :)

brian and i feel like we are pretty rested, but miss evelyn could use some more zzzz's! she fell asleep at the dinner table the other night, i guess there is a first time for everything! this big sister stuff is a lot of work! ;)

we have alrady been out and about walking, taking trips to town, and visting the pumpkin patch. so far little amelia seems to be able to keep up with our busyness. i think i better get back to my cuddle time with my little ladies, i just can't get enough of it lately. i hope your all getting some cuddle time on these rainy fall days!

we are all home and enjoying every second of our cuddle time with miss amelia. thank you all for the phone calls, texts and well wishes...we appreciate them all and look forward to updating you all soon. in the meantime i hope you enjoy the pictures of our newest lil' miss.
