evie visits old macdonald's farm!

we had an awesome long weekend at the ranch. Evie loved being outdoors changing irrigation or riding in the mule! She is going to have so much fun enjoying the ranch the older she gets. She was also a great traveler, we only stopped once on our drive down and our last night there she slept through the night, I think we wore her out!

grandpa and evie...

the weather was gorgeous...

alexis holding evie for the first time...

grammy and evie...

the calf in the back ground was born the same day as evie. gale had called me the day it was born and told me that the old cow that they were going to send to the auction for hamburger had a calf, she thought it was the perfect day for me to have my baby and it was! (they didn't think the old mama cow was pregnant that's why she was going to the auction, it would have been a bummer if they sold her pregnant!)

talking a walk and enjoying the crisp early mornings...

notice allie in the driveway...she had the time of her life, it fact when it was time to head home she was hiding on the deck! i think she wants to live in the country!

on our way home we made a quick stop to visit paul and tony....they wanted to squeeze on the little sweet pea!

the basement is almost done!
brian is working on installing the bathroom vanity and then of course there is always lots of little details to do, but for the most part the basement is done! we are soooo excited....we started remodeling the diamond in the rough a year an a half ago and is so exciting to be done! brian did an amazing job, i can't believe all the work he did!

father's day adventure...

our girls....allie and evie!
first family beach pic! :)
brian first fathers day!

this is what the backseat looked like on our drive to the beach! seriously could allie look any more pathetic, normally she sleeps in the car, but for some reason she wanted to keep an eye on sleeping evie the whole way over!

visit to historic oysterville...

we had a fun time celebrating fathers day at the beach and enjoying some good seafood. the weather was great and it was great to get out of town for the day and celebrate brian being such a great dad already...we love him!!!

fun visit with family...

grandma tony with all her grandkids....
(i love this picture of tony)
tony, amanda, jeff and the kids came up to see miss evie. tony has been up a few other times to see the little miss, but it was everyone else first time to meet her, and boy did she get spoiled. there was even a waiting line just to hold her! :) makenzie had just finished her babysitting training class, so she was in full babysitting mode. i wish we lived closer to her because she sure is great with babies!
grandma tony just took the grandkids to Disneyland last weekend so it was fun to hear stories and see pictures of their fun trip. tyler told his mom that is was the best day of his life! to say the least i think they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. evie even got spoiled with lots of fun gifts from Disneyland...thank you!!!

super babysitter...

allie got some much needed attention from tyler...

grandma and baby evie...

(these pictures below were on Brian's work camera, so it took me a while to retrieve them...evie was only four days old!)
grandma, chad and ashley came up to meet evelyn the saturday after she was born.
uncle chad holding her for the first time...

thanks for the great visit, i wish we lived closer so we could see each other more frequent.

4 week update...

sweetpea is already four weeks old and 10 1/2 pounds! our tiny baby is growing way to fast...we are just trying to enjoy every minute of her!
allie and evie...i think allie would rather be playing ball!
kat gave me the idea to pose her with the same object each month so you can view her growth better, here is our first attempt, i already forgot to do the newborn one. :)
evie with her baby sweetpea...

allie stayed home with me a few days last week to recover from her attempt to be friends with a porcupine. this is how she spent her days at home....

i have been meaning to post an evie update for awhile, but just don't seem to make the time for the computer much lately. we seem to be to busy eating up her cuteness and enjoying the nice summer weather!
evie continues to be a super good baby, still sleeping through the night and just waking once to feed. she had a few days of stomach pain and gas, which they contributed to me producing to much milk and evie taking in air when she gulps down the gushing milk! hence the 10 1/2 pounds already, i think she is getting fed well! our doctor thought i should consider bottling my milk and selling it...i think i will pass on that offer! :) she also is loving her car seat and enjoys going on road trips. we are thrilled about that because as most of you know we are on the go a lot! we have also been getting outside for lots of walks at the park to get some much needed fresh air. she is becoming more and more alert, she recently noticed the bird mobile above the rocking chair and loves staring at the bird art on the wall as well. she has also started smiling, which is so stinking cute! that pretty much sums up the latest on miss evelyn, my friends always told me they grow up quick, but i never imagined it would be this fast and she is only four weeks! we are loving every second with her!!!
