good stuff!!!

  • We had another ultrasound last week and miss sweetpea is growing right on track! She was weighing in at 1LB 3oz, and measuring in at 22 to 23 weeks. She is right on schedule for her birthday to be the end of May. It was great to see her on the big screen, we just can't wait to meet her!

  • She is on the move! I started to feel the her move last week, and it seems like she never stops. She sure is an active little thing! Brian was able to feel her move this weekend, he said it reminded him of a baby bird pecking on a shell!

  • We ordered the crib and dresser last week for miss sweetpea, I wish I had some good pics. It is fairly simple and straight lined, black in color, the dresser has lots of storage which will be nice and then we will just put a removable changing pad on top. I was surprised to learn that it will take 8 weeks to get it...good thing we ordered early! I'm getting anxious to start decorating the nursery, I just have to decide what direction I want to go in first. :)
  • BOB has arrived! We got a phone call yesterday that BOB is ready for pick-up! I think we will get lots of use out of it!

  • Allie is going to be a good big sister! I watched my neighbor friend Jeni's little girl Ava last week and it was so fun watching her interact with Allie.

Allie likes to sit by the window and watch the squirrels...Ava would sit by her in the window seal and give her lots of hugs and kisses. It was so cute to watch them!

She petted Allie's head the whole time I feed her...I think Allie was just hoping for some scrapes!

  • I'm 23 weeks pregnant this week, it won't be too long before the little sweetpea is here! Starting the first week of February I will be traveling for 5 weeks for work, and then we are planning a trip someplace sunny. I think a few weeks after that is the baby shower and then the countdown begins. It is going to go fast I can tell already. I better soak up those late mornings in bed and mid-day naps...I think its going to come to an end soon! Although we couldn't be more excited for what's to come!!!

I got up at 4am this morning to put sticky buns in the oven that I prepped for last night...I know I'm crazy, but he totally deserves it! I got him a massage for his birthday that he is thinking of using this afternoon and then we are off to portland for dinner and dessert. It has been a crazy year since his last birthday, but I wouldn't choose to spend it with anyone else...you are an amazing husband and best friend...I love you!!!

baby update...

a few fabric samples that are inspiring me to start thinking about the nursery decor...

I think we have a crib and dresser picked out, so hopefully we can order it this weekend. Little miss sweetpea has already been getting spoiled! I have received lots of fun treats in the mail over the last few weeks. Thanks for all the cute clothes, books, shoes, blankets, and just fun girl stuff!!! I'm sure she will enjoy it all. Brian wants her to hurry up and get here, he is ready to play with her or maybe he means take naps with her! :)

22 weeks...

We are 22 weeks and growing bigger by the day, but I guess that is what your suppose to do at this point! I have been feeling a bit better, more good days then bad, but I still have the prego sickness that just seems to want to linger on occasion. I have still been working out and attending my exercise classes, just with lots of modifications. I have had to move to the back off the class because I can't seem to make it thorough an entire class with out having to go to the bathroom! I also seem to have these incredible charlie horses in my calf's at night, which then seem to make for a sore leg the next morning. I have heard that its a common prego side effect, so I will just continue eating lots of bananas and hoping they subside. I'm also still not drinking coffee in the mornings, which I can't believe. It just doesn't seem to taste the same and also makes me feel a bit weird when I drink it. It has been a good opportunity for me to try some new teas out, which I have been enjoying.
We are both eagerly awaiting her arrival, not that were ready, but we would sure enjoy some cuddle time with her! Brian has been amazing with the pregnancy, I couldn't ask for a more supportive and excited husband. I was thinking the other day that he might even be more excited about being a dad to miss sweetpea then bow hunting...and bow hunting is a really big deal to him!!! He is going to be a great dad!

Back at it!

After a few months off with the remodeling, we are back at it! Before we started on the demolition of the basement, we wanted to finish up the detail work that we have been putting off on the main level. Detail is not Brian favorite, but I have to say he did a great job on the modeling, hardware, and other small but time consuming projects. The demo in the basement started a few weeks ago and Lucy and Colton are coming up this weekend to help, so there will be lots of pics to come.

we gutted the bathroom...I think everything is new besides the porcelain tub.

new window seat...brian's mom made the cushion for it!

Happy New Year!!!

We spent New Year's in Eugene with out friends Pat & Ada, and T.J. & Lisa. We had a great time catching up with everyone and the girls had fun watching the boys play the new Wii. Ada is also expecting a little spud the first week of July! We are so excited for Pat and Ada, and even more excited that our little sweetpea will have a playmate close in age. T.J. and Lisa your next....right???!!!!

Pat and Brian having way too much fun...

I got a Flipvideo from Paul and Tony for Christmas, which I'm loving. It took me a while to figure out how to post the videos to my blog (hence the belated New Year's post), but I'm enjoying it and hope to post more videos in the future. The funny part about the present is that our 10 year old niece, Mckenzie got a Flipvideo as well! She was actually the one that showed me what they were...I guess I fit right in with the pre-teen group!!!!

Brian's parents came up over the New Year's weekend and we made a trip to Longbeach and enjoyed the fresh air and ate some good seafood.

Paul and Tony looking cute...

Hope you all had a wonderful New's Year's enjoying family and friends! We are anticipating a fun year to come with our sweetpea on the way.

baby's hand...

So were having a girly tyke!!!
She was squirming around a lot in the ultrasound...Brian thinks she takes after me already! We are right on schedule for our due date of may 23, 2009 (+/- 1week, 7days), her estimated weight was 12 oz (+/- 2 oz).According to the ultrasound and all the measurements she looked healthy and is growing strong. We have an appointment on Friday afternoon with our doctor to go over the results in more depth. Having pictures of the baby and seeing her move around definitely makes if feel more real! Brian said he can't wait for his young lady, he looks forward to taking naps with her in the recliner...hopefully she's a good napper!!!

20 weeks...

a few more belly pics to keep my audience satisfied!

I'm currently 20 weeks and half way thorough my pregnancy, the belly has been growing in full force the last few week. We are anxiously awaiting our ultrasound appointment today, we will find out if our sweet pea will be a boy or a girl. Or as my girlfriend Katrina put it...will Easton (her 4 1/2 month old son) have a hunting buddy or a girlfriend???!!!

Pink Martini

The four of us went to the Pink Martin concert in Portland at the Crystal Ballroom. We had a great dinner before the show and then we were off to enjoy the music. Thanks Lucy for organizing such a fun evening!

next stop...christmas at the ranch

the ranch was our last stop this year for the holidays, we could finally kick up our feet up and relax...well kinda! we did do some relaxing, but we also did some tree pruning and burning in the snow.
taking a break....

brian ended up getting lots of poison oak...whoops!
just for fun...just because I know you all want to be this stylish, especially for my prego friends. So when you start out growing everything you own what do you do? Well I decided to sport brians rain gear pants and my dad's extra large rain coat! It worked perfect, I would recommend the bib overall style rain paints....then you can grow into them!
I think I ended up doing to much brush piling, I woke up that night with the worst charile horse ever in my calf muscle. I could barely even walk on it in the morning. After a hot shower and some stretching it started feeling a bit better. I have been having leg cramps since I have been pregnant, but nothing that extreme. I guess I need to slow down a bit, which is so hard for me to do. :)
Thanks for all the great gifts Dad and Gale....we can't wait tell our kids can join in on the work parties!

Christmas...
