home feels good!

as much as brian and i love to be on the go, the last few weekends it has been nice to just be home.  traveling with two little tykes is lots of fun, but also lots of work. :)  we have so much great  recreation so close to us.   day trips are more of our thing these days. :)  we took the boat to the lake the last few weekends to swim.  in fact one day we even went after brian got home from work.  which is awesome because it is way less crowded then the weekends.  we also discovered a few great hiking trials in the hills of brownsville that we can walk to from our house.  i think i mentioned this before but brian is in major training mode for his hunt, so using the kids for backpacking weight is perfect! :)

miss e loves swimming from the boat!  last year she wasn't really that into it and this year she is a complete dare devil.  jumps in, kicks around, etc., i think the last 4 weeks of swimming lessons have really payed off.

does this picture scream i love my dad or what?  brian and evelyn camped out in the backyard last weekend and i snuck this picture of them cuddling in the tent.  so cute!  this girl is crazy about her daddy!!!

hope you all are enjoying this consistent sunshine we have been having.  it really feels like summer!  i have been a busy beaver the last few weeks preparing for lucy and colton's couples shower that sarah and i are throwing this weekend.  i'm getting excited to put it all together this, i think its going to be awesome!  just a few more months and my little sis is going to be a married girl...yikes!  is she really old enough?  it just seems like yesterday that we were wearing matching shirts and i was pretending that i was her mom! :)
