what a great time we had at the oregon coast! the last full week of august we head to fort stevens to camp and salmon fish for the week. i always look forward to this trip. it seems like that time of year its super hot in the valley, so its nice to escape the heat but still enjoy some great sunshine! the bite wasn't as hot as last year, but we still came home with lots of yummy salmon. its a good thing that brian one, LOVES to fish and two, that he catches them because our girls LOVE salmon. in fact miss e's favorite dinner is salmon and rice. :)
brian and evelyn with the first two catches....
cleaning fish...this year we brought our small freezer with us, so it worked great to zip seal the fish at camp and then throw them in the freezer!
the weather at the beach was amazing...in fact the sand was almost too hot to walk on a few of the days!
grandma and her girls...LOVE this picture of them!
allie turns into a young pup at the beach! the poor girl always pays for it later. she gets so sore these days when she really expends herself. :(
my silly goose...
sweet, sweet, sisters!
these birds would fly really low along the ocean looking for fish to eat...
roasting marshmellows with dad
this little miss started crawling a few weeks before we left...makes camping a little tricky! :)
this girlie loves to camp!!!!
grandma tony celebrated her birthday while we were there. evelyn picked out some yummy cupcakes from a fun cupcake shop in astoria. miss e loves birthdays, but she wanted to know why more people didn't come to grandma's birthday...silly girl!
love the smiles on amelia and grandpa!!!
always such a fun trip...thanks paul and tony for the help with the girls!
i'm already looking forward to next year!!!
