halloween!!!

i hosted a little party at my house for brian's family. mck and tyler are getting to old for halloween (that's what they say!), so they wanted to come and take evelyn trick or treating. we ate yummy butternut squash soup and ate lots of halloween goodies! it was lots of fun to have the family over while we handed out candy to all the cute kids in their costumes.

our library hosted a fun halloween party with scary stories and a craft project for the kids...

we even got cookies on our way out...

there was a pumpkin decorating contest at the farmers marker that evelyn participated in...

her pumpkin won the "cutest" pumpkin award! :)

i asked her what she wanted to name it and she said, "just a little pumpkin"

then there was the annual pumpkin roll at the park...evelyn's pumpkin didn't make it very far, but it was fun to see the kids roll/throw their pumpkins down the hill! :)

ps-as i was posting these pics i just found out that evelyn won the costume contest!!! how fun, she gets to go to the bakery and get her prize tomorrow!
