its been two weeks since we took little green (the pacifier) away. the first two night were a little rough, but after that it was smooth sailing. this silly miss had such a love hate relationship with little green. she loved it, but also would throw it across the room if she was mad or didn't want it. so their we were crawling around the floor looking for it. the best was when we were using the flashlight on our phone to try and find it in the middle of the night. at some point you have to say to yourself, what am i enabling?! and that is when we decided that little green needed to go bye bye. :) i would much rather see that sweet little smile then a little green sucker fish anyway! :)
on a differnent note, a few updates about miss amelia:
-she weened herself from nursing around 11 1/2 months. since we were so close to the 12 month mark, i just decided to go ahead with the whole milk in a staw cup, which she loved. i guess she was done with me. :)
-she has 3 1/2 teeth (one is just poking through) on the bottom , but still no teeth up top.
-LOVES to paddy cake, wave bye bye, and dance. this girl has moves...i love this stage when they start doing the head bob and the hip sway! :)
-still not walking, but i think we are super close...the last few days i have caught her taking 2-3 steps! she has crawled a lot longer then evelyn ever did, so i would have to say that she gets around pretty good doing her speed crawling! :)
-she still has that spicy side that we talk about, if she doesn't get her way she throws herself on the floor and throws a little tantrum. it is hard not to laugh at this age when they do that. :)
-this girl gives the best hugs ever! she is always wanting brian or i to pick her up and then she squeezes our neck really tight while she lays her head on our shoulder...i think this is probably one of the best feelings ever! she is such a little lover!!!
one of these days i'm going to have to post a picture of evelyn next to amelia at this age. i just can't believe how different they look from one another. amelia still has those blue, grey, green eyes and that super blonde hair. where as evelyn had those dark brown eyes and so much black hair that we were wearing clips and ponies at this age. i love their differences! these two girls are just so much fun together, i'm so glad that they love playing together. i'm one lucky mama that gets to stay home and love on these two little sweeties....i can't imagine having it any other way! thanks to my hubby for making that happen!
love you!!!
