we were looking to get out of town for a few days, and evelyn has been wanting to go crabbing. so that is what we did, we spent a few days playing in newport.
its a bit hard to notice, but i wanted to point out that evelyn has her "crabbing" shirt on. :) it's actually a hickory shirt, but she calls it her crabbing shirt. and guess who had to match her...yep, her dad! how cute that dad and daughter can match in their hickory shirts!!! :)

crabs!!! we actually caught lots of crabs...
the small crabs would get out of the crab pots sometimes and squirm around on the boat floor...evelyn and allie would be scrambling for higher ground! :)
i think evelyn is trying to look like the crab in this picture! :)

the view from out motel...it was pretty foggy the whole time we were there. but is was also super warm, in fact amelia fell asleep listening to the waves on the porch. :)
we squeezed in a trip to the oregon coast aquarium too...
it had been about three years since we had been there, and i forgot how cool this place is. it is for sure a must see if you have never been!
amelia loved the viewing windows in the floor...
evelyn told us several times how much fun she had crabbing, i think her daddy is going to have a pretty cute crabbing partner for many trips to come! :)
