instead of buying christmas presents for each other this year, we decided to spend the money on a weekend away together. it was so much fun! such a great reason for us all to plan a weekend getaway! sarah planned this years trip...a sunny weekend in newport! she found an awesome house with a great view of the bay and walking distance to the beach, it was perfect!
we visited the aquarium one afternoon...
we brought the boat to do a little crabbing, it wasn't red hot, but who could resist a fun boat ride in the sunshine?!

what a great 1st siblings weekend! i'm looking forward to the annual trip. next year is my turn to plan it, so if you all have any great ideas pass them along! :)

a few funny post crabbing thought....
last night we were cracking the crab we caught to make crab patties and evelyn informed me that she is now the "crabenator"
oh, and just in case you didn't notice she wore her crabbing shirt (hickory shirt) both days!
you should have seen her cracking the crab, you would have thought she was experienced or something! i guess it probably has to do with her dad doing it and him being her hero! :)
