this weekend was the pioneer picnic in our little town. there was all kinds of fun entertainment we could walk to. the kiddie parade on friday is the kick off for the weekend of fun. the girls and i were part of the summer reading program display for the parade. its pirate them this year, so we had fun with it!

miss e put together this flower display for the flower show...the theme was treasures (notice all those great treasures on her tray!) :) she ended up taking 2nd in her category!
saturday morning was the 10k run to the dam. it was a perfect sunny morning for running. with a pace of 7:33, i took first in the womens category. they had triple the runners as last year, which was great because its a fundraiser for our high school track. we have a state champion track team, but no track! :(
now that i have a few descent 10k's under my belt i think its time to sign up a couple half marathons...any takers? i would love a few training partners!
my sister sarah, brother and kids, and dad came down for the day to join in on the fun. in fact sarah's new boy even ran the race with me! he is fast! i think he came in third overall and i was fourth! way to go keith!!!!
