jam packed week of fun!

mid august we headed north for our annual week salmon fishing at bouy 10 in astoria.  first stop was aunt lucy's and uncle colton's to can 50lbs of peaches and of course dress up like an Indian! :)  thanks aunt sas for the fun craft project!

then we headed to astoria to meet up with the fishermen! :)  the carters joined us this year so ada and i took the kids on the scenic railroad train,  they are all four crazy about trains, so they loved it!

the weather was gorgeous on the beach!

then it was back to camp to see what the boys and been up too.  turns out they were catching fish, and i mean a lot of fish!!!

ok, enough with all the salmon pictures, although it was an amazing year, best year we have ever had!  back to the cute pics of the kiddos...

the end result from our salmon trip!  it seemed like every night we were having filleting and zip sealing parties...the freezer came home full, i would say that is success! :)

then brian and i spent two days kid-less on a work retreat.  we ate lots of yummy food and toured astoria with a great group of people.  it was fun to be wined and dined after a week of camping. :)  the girls got to camp out with grandma and grandpa for a few days.  

and this prego mama climed to the top of the astoria column.  164 spiral stairs to the top!  the view from the top was worth the climb!

all in all it was a great trip!  we squeezed a lot into 9 days!  it was also great to be home, that is a lot of planning that goes into a trip that long and i was one tired prego mama by the end. :)

now its time to eat peaches and salmon for winter! :)
