fall snow in the mountains...

we decided to venture up to mt. rainier on saturday. we hadn't gotten a chance to explore that area yet and after a week of evelyn and i being cooped up with our first colds of the season we were ready to get out. it was a gorgeous day on the mountain...we packed for cold weather but were surprised that it was snowing when we got there. so evie got to see her first snow ever! we went on a hike and enjoyed meeting up with sarah and d.j.

the fog started rolling in the late afternoon as we were heading down the mountain from our hike..

on sunday we got together with our neighbors (molly & chris, and the gardner family) for some apple pressing. the apple cider was soooo good!!!

staying warm!

after we finished up the apple pressing we had dinner at the garder house....it was yummy! as we were all standing around visiting, brian was holding evie facing out and taking to chris about her sleep schedule, next thing you know she is nodding off...it was so cute. we had yet to see her do that, i mean it was 7:30pm, but i thought she would want to eat before bed, i guess she was to tired! i laid her down in bennet's crib and she went right to sleep. i left the door open so i could hear her if she woke up and she sleep through all of us talking, laughing and even ava showing off for us didn't wake her up. i guess we must have wore her out!!!
