by the time we did cake miss evie was getting pretty tired, so the hot candle didn't go over so well. :( she was totally fine, just never ended up trying her birthday cake. we have many more birthdays to look forward to and eat cake at, so i guess we will a memory that we won't forget from her 1st birthday. :) poor little pumpkin butter!
we have been trying to dig ourselves out of piles of paper and boxes...the moving truck showed up on friday, so we spent most of memorial weekend unpacking. brian is out of town this week for work, so we wanted to at least get the kitchen and bedrooms livable. it feels good to get settled back into our old home, i just forgot how much work unpacking and re-organizing is, especially with a toddler hanging on your leg! :)
i have lots of lots of fun pictures to post, so just be patient they will come soon, i'm just running a little behind schedule...stay tuned!

That video is too cute. Poor Evie and the candle :) We didn't wind up putting a candle on Mason's 1st birthday cake but he still wasn't interested in it. He touched the frosting and was surprised that it came off on his hands, and after that he didn't want anything to do with it. It's those unexpected things that make for the best memories though! Hope the rest of unpacking is going well!!!! Give Evelyn a squeeze for us.
