we went down to the ranch for a few days over the forth of july. the macdonald fam was there as well, so it was fun to watch the kids play together. the boys hauled in lots of hay and got the irrigation line out. dad was excited about all the work they got done, that means less for him to do! :)
we made sure we were back in time to enjoy the 4th of july festivities in b"ville. the 4th of july is a big deal here....you start by having breakfast in the park with the firemen, then there was a band and bbq at the coffee shop, and then it was fireworks at the park. the beauty is that we were able to walk to all of it...we are loving being back in our little town!

miss evie loved picking snap peas from gale's garden. last time we were down, we helped dad build some new garden boxes that are chest high, so you don't have to bend over to weed or pick your produce...i think gale LOVES them!

i didn't take any pics on the forth of july, but my mom got evie the cutest shirt, it was a red shirt with ruffle sleeves that said lil' fire cracker. believe me she has been a fire cracker lately! :) i thought she might sleep through the fire crackers, but she decided she liked to watch them and stayed up for the entire show!
i better get back to playing with my lil' spicy firecracker!!!
