halloween fun! (round 1)

what an fun filled weekend of halloween festivities we had! we had swimming in corvallis on friday so we thought we would just stick around for the afternoon of trick or treating in downtown. it was so much fun seeing all the kids in their costumes and it was even more fun that the weather cooperated...i think it was in the high 60s! my mom meet up with us for the day which was great! evie was a little tense at first with the whole trick or treating thing, but she figured it out in no time. she is really into putting things in bags, bins, etc., so putting the candy in her pumpkin was easy for her to pick up on. :)
miss evelyn the butterfly...
so excited about her balloon she got from the toy factory...
she couldn't stop looking at her balloon! :)
evelyn's had a few hilarious moments during the day, one being when she trick or treated the bike shop they had the candy in a bike basket and instead of taking a piece of candy, she one by one put all her candy in their basket! i guess that works!
later in the day we trick or treated dairy queen, they were giving out small ice cream cones and evie tried to put hers in her pumpkin! she had the routine down of putting it in the pumpkin, it just wasn't a good spot for the ice cream cone. :)
this series of ice cream pics totally cracks me up!
wow...her very own ice cream cone, she didn't even know were to start!
mmmm...
she kept licking her upper lip...i think she liked it!
she kept starring at it so seriously...
the ice cream cone was a hit....yummy!!!
she took a break in the sunshine to check out all her candy...
this one winery was serving unwrapped candy with a spoon, and when it was evie's turn to get the candy she tried to take the spoon out of the lady's hand and put it in her mouth! i guess she thought you were suppose to eat it off the spoon! :)
she held onto her pumpkin and balloon the whole car ride home and she feel asleep just as we crossed the bridge to go into brownville....she was a tired little pumpkin!
stay tuned for round two; on sunday we ventured up to portland for lunch at my mom's and then we trick or treated with gwynn and payton at bridgeport and then we hosted a little trick or treat party at our house with brian's family.
i hope everyone had a great halloween, i know i have seen lots of fun pictures of my friends kiddos in their costumes, they were all sooo cute!!!

I'm impressed she kept the antennas in! Sounds like Corvallis is the place to go for Trick o' Treat events....ice cream cone, balloon, candy! Geesh!
