first apple pie!!!

evelyn got the book "amelia bedelia's first apple pie" from aunt sas (sarah) for christmas. it is a super cute book about how amelia bedelia makes her first apple pie with her grandma and grandpa. the birds actually end up eating the pie before they get to try it, but you should read the story because amelia bedelia has a surprise and the story does have a happy ending. :)

at the end of the book is a recipe for apple pie and evelyn has been wanting to make an apple pie forever. so we finally busted it out last night. we had lots of fun and enjoyed eating our yummy warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream just like amelia bedelia did. :)

i just love having helpers in the kitchen, especially cute ones that like to make treats!

ps-notice the hair cut?? miss e got about 4 inches cut off, more about that later!
