due date + 3 days!

i think our lil' miss is going to be a stubborn one! it seems as if she has no intention of coming out. evelyn tells me that baby sister is so warm and cozy in my belly and then in a really sweet 2 year voice says, "baby sister come out i want to play." we are trying to be patient, but since we never hit our due date with evelyn this is a new waiting game for us. i feel like i have been "nesting" for months! thanks for all the calls, texts, email, etc., i promise we will keep you all informed when she decides to make her appreance or even gives us any indication she might be ready! :)
we have been feeling a bit ansy having to stay so close to home recently, so over the weekend we had some friends over for some much needed company and then ventured out to a handfull of local farms to enjoy the sunshine and fresh produce.
miss e at one of our farm stops, she was picking flowers out for me to cut...

we were a little early for some of the fall activities on the farms, but we still came home with a tiny pumpkin :)

look at my tiny pumpkin! maybe if miss e would have picked a bigger one my belly wouldn't look so big! :)

we are lucky to live by so many fun farms. we managed to go for a horse ride, eat ice cream, and come home with lots of yummy produce. i think we had more company this weekend then we have had in a long time, maybe they were all anticapating meeting someone new and possible getting some snuggle time in! :) thanks adam & nicole, douglas fam, and brian's siblings for the great visits this weekend, we hope to see you again soon so we can introduce our lil' miss to you. ;)

it felt so much like fall on sunday that we couldn't resist getting outside and doing a little clean up in the yard and garden. miss e enjoyed picking the last of some of the produce in the garden. she had so much fun this summer picking food out of the garden and putting it in her kitchen containers, it was so cute to see how proud she was of what she found in the garden.

this is the face i get lately when i ask her to smile...

or this one...

counting the snap peas she picked...

i hope you all are enjoying this fall weather we have been having. if there is any way you can send some labor vibes our way we would greatly appreicate them. we are ready to spend fall with our lil' lady. stay tuned!
