our little lady!

brian and i were just talking the other night about how much evelyn has grown, changed, and developed into such a little lady this summer. she continues to constantly entertain us with her silliness and independent personality. we still often wonder what we did for entertainment before our little sweet pea came along. :)

a few summer highlights from our growing girl:

-she now talks in complete sentences and can repeat anything you say...which gets me in trouble sometimes! :)

-she likes to do everything herself; like get dressed, brush her teeth and hair, pick out her hair ties, etc., luckily she always lets me have a turn after she gives it a try. :)
-she has been sleeping in her "big girl" bed for about three months. the transition went awesome, she calls it her "me" bed and is such a good sleeper in it.

-she tells me that dada is her best friend, hugaroo, pumpkin butter, basically he is her hero because mama has a baby in her belly. :)
-miss enhas been singing up a storm, her favorties being twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider, and rock a bye baby. i got a little video of her singing, i will try to post it soon.

-she has grown over an inch sense her birthday (end of may).

-everything is evelyn's eyes is either "tiny" or "big", she loves using the word "tiny"

-she remembers everything, we can't believe some of the stuff she remembers

-and last but not least, miss evelyn is POTTY TRAINED!!!!!! i hope i don't ruin it by letting the cat out of the bag! it has been over a month and she only wears pull ups at night and sometimes at nap time, but most of the time they are dry. we have a little travel potty for her and she has gotten use to using it in the backseat of the truck, in the canopy, in the trunk of the car, on the side of road, on the beach, you name it we have probably used it there. luckily we were able to incorporate our busy lifestyle into her potty routine. i had kinda given up on potty training evelyn before the baby came, but his time is was her idea and we jumped on it. now we just need to figure out how to give up the m&m's....she knows the routine, one emme for pee and two for poop. :)

our little water dog...

a few weeks ago we finished up are summer of swimming lessons, i think she made a lot of progress and next summer she will be on her own with out mom!

loving the water slide with dad...when they went under i felt like they were under forever, but miss e came up all smiles, so i guess it wasn't too long. :)

her under water picture from swimming lessons...

what a fun little lady miss evelyn has become!
