pickin' flowers in the sun!

last thursday and friday we had some incredible sunny days. i even saw people in corvallis in shorts, tank tops and flip flops! :) we tried to get out side as much as we could because we knew that the rain would be back soon. we were meeting sweet caleb (pat and ada's little guy) for a play date at the science factory, but with the weather being so nice we ventured out side for a walk to see the ducks and to do some flower picking. :)

i think caleb is trying to figure out if she just gave him a flower or a weed! :) this two are sooo cute together! making a wish... thanks caleb and ada for the great sunny play date...we loved it!!! with the weather being in the high 60's on friday we took the boat out that evening and had a picnic. the whole way to the boat dock evelyn keep saying, dada truck, dada boat, zzzzz...she is obsessed with her dada and his boat! :) we squeezed in a little more yard work this weekend and were hoping to maybe get the garden spot ready, but are yard is just way to soggy. i guess we will have to wait for some more sunshine to do any prep work. evelyn has been cracking us up the last two weeks with all her talking. it just seems like she woke up one day and decided to talk. she has stated saying things in order like, dada coat, shoes, keys truck, shop, etc. its nice to know what she is trying to say most of the time. sometimes i feel like we almost even have conversations. :) happy monday!
