2 year check up...

we went to evelyn's two year check up last week, which was way more fun for me and her then we expected. miss e rarely goes to the doctor, so i would think that she might be a little timed at first...nope, not this girl, she was so cooperative that i couldn't stop laughing.

she stepped right up on the scale like she has done it a million times and then put her heels as close at she could to the wall to check her height. the it was off to the exam room, where the nurse asked a few questions and then evelyn shut the door behind the nurse and said "doctor come see me!" not only did she know the doctor was coming to see her, but she was excited about it! :) when the doctor came in to see her she wanted up on the exam table and laid right down to be checked out. at this point i was dying laughing, i promise we don't practise this at home. :) she did have to get one shot and i thought this will really be the kicker, she will never want to come back after this, but she surprised me again. one little whimper and a scoopy doo sticker and she was good to go! i don't think our dr. appointments will always go this smooth, but i will always remember this one as the "cooperative and eager child!" we treated miss e to ice cream after words and i think my eyes were still watering from all the laughing i did! :)

a few funny thing about our silly two year old:

-she tells me all the time that she has a dog named allie, and them gives allie a hug and a kiss all the time.

-we have tried the potty training thing a few times, but my last attempt went like this...she grabbed the big girl panties out of my hand ran to her room and put them in her dresser and then slammed the drawer. umm, i take that as a no! maybe when the weather gets a little nicer we can do a little naked time in the back yard and see were that goes. :)

-she surprises me daily with what she says, last night she put my slippers on brian and told him "warm and cozzzy", yesterday at swim, she told me "momma gym, dada me swimming", i guess she thinks dad is more fun at swimming than mom, i just need to go to the gym according to miss e! :)

-she checks the strawberry plants everyday and eats all the red ones, i don't think i have even got to try one yet!

-i think she can pretty much repeat anything you say, not that you can always understand it, but her vocabulary has increased tremendously in the last few months.

-and last but not least we are in full throttle tantrum mode..ugh. i have decided that that is why they make them so stinkin' cute because even when there having a tantrum you still LOVE them more than anything!!!
