as we get closer and closer to the due date of miss sweetpea, we are starting to get ready for her arrival. although we still have lots to do. :) brian set the crib and dresser up a few weeks ago, we are really excited about them.
i think miss sweetpea will like this crib much better once we get a mattress and some linens! :)
we have a few more "preparing for birth" classes left. we both have learned a lot in class and are glad we decided to take it. "baby essentials" and "breastfeeding" are our next classes. so, i guess we will be highly educated for miss sweetpea! the belly continues to grow and i think she is zapping every bit of energy out of me. i have been feeling super tried the last few weeks, which on the plus side has made it easier for me to sleep at night. it continues to get harder and and harder to bend over, which is when i start thinking i can believe i have 8 more weeks of my growing belly left. other then the sporadic nausea, bellyaches, pelvic pain, and tiredness i feel pretty good. the change of energy level has been a little challenging for me as i have to remember that i can't do as much as use too...sometimes its hard to slow down. :)
we have been trying to put our nose to the grind stone on the name list, we do have a list of options, but nothing that jumps out at us. we are hoping to narrow it down to a few and then pick the name the fits her best after we meet her. so yes, you will all have to wait to find out the name...there has to be some sort of surprise! :)
as this point we are starting to get super curious as to who she will look like, what will her personality be, will she have lots of allergies like her mama, or will she have a double chin like her papa when he was a baby, will she have hair and if she does how much. this morning when brian was getting ready for work he peaked in the baby's room and said no baby yet...i think he is ready for her, although i don't know if he is ready for the sleepless nights. brian is going to a great dad, i can tell already!
we are both looking forward to our weekend in oregon celebrating miss sweetpea, we both are going to have the opportunity to spend time with lots of friends and family that we don't get to see as often as we would like to. looks like the sun is going to be out for the weekend, i don't think it gets much better then that....a sunny weekend with friends and family, i can't wait!
looking forward to seeing you all this weekend...travel safe!!!
