mothers day workparty weekend!

it was a busy weekend of good food and lots of projects completed! with sweetpea's arrival less then two weeks away, we are in the countdown to finish a few things before her arrival!
Happy Mothers Day to us!
Allie meditating in the flower beds....she sure has been funny lately, I think she knows that we will have a new addition to the family soon!

with my belly getting so big, i had to bring my soup bowl up to my mouth to prevent spilling!!!

we have been wanting to paint and re-roof our patio, mom thought it was a good idea to get it done this weekend! she did most of the work, but got a little assistance from lucy, colton, and jim and brian put the roof on after they finished up their projects in the basement.

before...

mom hard at it...

it used to have a green fiberglass roof, we put a grey smoke colored on, so we could still get the light while we enjoy the shade...

putting the roof on...
first meal under the new patio cover...

the finished project!!!!

the basement: a few weeks ago mom and jim came up and helped in the basement. brian and jim got all the insulation hung. Then the sheet rockers came and they finished up the end of last week. brian's parents paul and tony came up on saturday and they helped get the basement tapped off, so brian could spray primer on the new sheet rock and then on sunday brian and jim got all the doors hung. so to say the least we are making progress, next is trim and then paint, then flooring and details.
new insulation...
sheet rock is done and textured...

new primer and doors...
(notice the large stack of trim we have to install...lucy and colton moved it all downstairs for us!)
doors...

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!
Sarah and I did lots of cooking, which was scrumptious. We also worked in the yard planting lots of new plants Tony had given me from her greenhouse. She even helped my plant a small garden, which I'm excited about. Thanks again to everyone for all you help!

Wozers! It looks wonderful. Your mom did a great job on the patio! What a difference that alone made!
