evelyn had her 4 month check up this week and it seems that she is growing into a little butterball! :) she is 16 1/2 lbs and 24 inches long, that puts her into the 90th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height. i think my super milk is doing her good! she is at a super fun age, smiles at everything, starting to laugh, and drools like crazy. she is constantly putting her fingers and hands in her mouth and often gags herself. sometimes i wonder if she is teething for as much as she chews on her fingers and hands. she has been really squirmy lately and is arching her back a lot, i think it won't be too much longer until she is rolling over. the pediatrician was telling me that once they chunck up a bit they no longer check their hip bones to see if there lined up, they check to see if the fat folds in the legs are even! i think this is the only time in your life when fat folds in your legs are the cutest thing ever. we are loving are healthy pumpkin butterball!!!sucking on her fingers...

tomorrow i'm hosting a dessert party/baby shower at my house for my friend jenny. luckily evie went to bed at 7pm, so i was able to get almost all my cooking done tonight. aunt lucy is riding the train up tomorrow to help with the little miss and a few last minute details and then we should be ready to party! we are off to oregon this weekend for a wedding, we are staying in silverton, so we are hoping to make our way over to silver falls for some day hikes. it will be nice to enjoy the fall weather and not work on any house projects...we are due for a break!

Such a cutie....TJ says that Evelyn is even more adorable in person (if that's even possible). I was so jealous that he got to see her and I didn't. Hope you all are enjoying your start to fall.
