i hosted a baby shower/dessert party for my friend jenny's pending arrival of baby boy "bennett!" i had lots of fun throwing the party, it was great to visit with all her friends and a few were expecting as well! jen, her husband kelly, sweet daughter ava, and pooch buster moved from salt lake city to longview just a few months before us. they live just a few houses down from us and we love having them as neighbors! they are also the best dog sitters....they watch allie a lot for us and she even gets to sleep on their bed when she stays the night! (something she doesn't even get to do at our house!) we are so glad we meet the gardner family and can't wait for the arrival of bennett...he is due on october 20th!

my mom and i made these super cute flags the weekend we had the "roofing party", i gave them to jenny as part of her gift and she couldn't wait to hang them in bennett's nursery...i'm sure they look darling!
we had lots of desserts...this is only half of them!

aunt lucy rode the train up on thursday to help with the party and miss evelyn. she brought up some gorgeous orange dahlias from the corvallis farmers markets for the party. it was so great to have her come visit, i miss living close to her.
when lucy arrived, evie had just woke up from her nap and she was so cuddly with her aunt lucy. i can't get her to cuddle with me much anymore, so i thought this was just to sweet! :)
